It's definitely weird and I'm trying to figure out a way around it. Might be splitting my efforts a bit: "elektron projects" which will be more improv/generative stuff, and then just a plain ol' daw for song composition.

I have also looked at the polyend and sunvox for song comp possibilities, but I think I'm gonna stick to ableton for a while since, frankly, it's easy to sketch ideas vs. hardware. Pains me to say it, but it's true. haha
